How to use it
- Add your salon name, one line with your address, phone or booking link, and your logo.
- Enter what the certificate is worth: an amount, or a service such as a gel manicure. Add the recipient, the buyer and a short message if the buyer wants them.
- Keep the certificate number or make a new one for each certificate, and set a validity date only if the rules where you work allow it.
- Print on card or thick paper, or choose "Save as PDF" in the print window to send it by WhatsApp or email. Keep the salon copy or write its details in your certificate list.
- When the client books, ask for the number, check it against your list and write down the date it is used.
Questions
What should a nail salon gift certificate include?
Your salon name and contact details, the value or service, a unique number, the validity date if you use one, and short terms: how to book, whether it covers one visit and what happens to a value that is not used. The template has all of these and the terms can be edited.
Should a gift certificate have an expiry date?
It depends on where you work. Some countries and US states require a minimum validity or do not allow expiry dates on gift certificates, and some require cash back for a small unused value. Check the local rule before you print a date, and leave the field blank if you are not sure.
How do I keep track of gift certificates?
Keep one list with the number, value, buyer, date sold, how it was paid and the date it is used. The salon copy at the bottom of each print has these fields. Check the list when the client books, so the same certificate cannot be used twice.
Can I use gift certificates with CutieCure Salon?
CutieCure Salon has no gift cards or stored balances, so keep your certificate list yourself. If you want a certificate to work in online booking, you can create a campaign code with the certificate number as the code, a fixed amount, one use and the end date. It takes that amount off one booking; any value left over is not kept.
Is what I type saved anywhere?
No. The template runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server, so print or save the certificate as a PDF before you leave the page.
