In short

  • Nail salon holiday promotions work best as a dated plan: packages and one Black Friday code (27 November 2026) ready in November, then a December you protect from no-shows.
  • Online booking shows 21 days ahead on your link and 14 in the widget and the Book app, so enter early December requests yourself.
  • Feature party shades, confirm pending requests every day and turn holiday first-timers into January regulars.

Why November and December decide your quarter

For many nail salons, the weeks from Black Friday to early January are among the busiest of the year. Office parties, family dinners and New Year's Eve land in the same weeks, and Saturdays fill first. In the southern hemisphere, summer adds pedicure demand on top.

Busy is not the same as profitable. Empty Tuesday mornings, a discount spent on your best Saturday slots and two no-shows on 23 December can cost more than a calmer month. Start a dated plan in October.

Start with your numbers

In CutieCure Salon, analytics covers the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Set it to 90 and note four things:

  • Top services: the raw material for your holiday packages.
  • Booking sources: online (link, website and Book app combined) versus phone, WhatsApp, Instagram and walk-ins. Announce offers where clients already book.
  • No-show rate: your December baseline.
  • Revenue over time: your strong and quiet weeks.

Ninety days will not reach last December. Open your old diary or previous tool and note how many appointments you did that month, which days sold out first and how many requests you turned away. That is your capacity target. Monthly routine: the nail salon KPIs worth tracking.

Online booking shows three weeks ahead: enter early December requests yourself

Clients start asking about December in October. Know what they can do online:

  • Your booking link shows the next 21 days.
  • The website widget and the CutieCure Book app show the next 14 days.
  • Bookings your team enters have no limit.

So when a regular asks on 20 October for 19 December, enter the appointment yourself, pick the source (phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, walk-in or other) and note the design she wants.

Your booking link reaches 1 December around 11 November and 31 December around 11 December. Then put it in your bio, add it to a story highlight and check your website's booking button. Online bookings arrive as pending, so open the Requests tab daily: a request left waiting in December is a client who books elsewhere. Setup: online booking for nail salons.

Hours, who takes bookings and honest durations

Each weekday is open with its own hours or closed, and there are no one-off closure dates. Plan the special days now:

  • Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on a Friday this season. If you open on Fridays, clients can request them online. Decide your hours for 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January, announce them and decline requests outside them.
  • A technician away in December? Switch off Takes bookings for her while she is off.

Then set honest durations, clean-up included, especially for extensions and detailed nail art: a full set booked as 60 minutes that takes 90 wrecks a December Saturday. The day view shows the day's load and labels free gaps you can offer to clients who wanted an earlier slot.

Two or three holiday packages clients can book in one go

Packages make a visit bigger and the choice easier. Build them from your top services:

  • Party ready: gel polish plus nail art on two nails.
  • Holiday duo: gel manicure plus pedicure, back to back.
  • New Year glam: a full set with chrome or glitter.

Pick the services and CutieCure Salon calculates the regular price, total duration and saving. Clients book the whole package in one go on your booking link, widget and the Book app. Packages cannot be paused, so delete seasonal ones in January; the services inside stay. CutieCure Salon has no gift cards or vouchers, so if you sell them, track them yourself.

Black Friday week: one short code with dates, a limit and a service restriction

Black Friday falls on 27 November in 2026. Instead of discounting everything, create one short code, for example BLACK26, on the Campaigns page:

  1. 1Starts 27 November, Ends 30 November. Created early, it shows as Scheduled until then.
  2. 2Total uses: a number you can serve, such as 30. A cancelled coded booking gives the use back.
  3. 3Applies to: only the services or packages you want to sell more of.

One catch: the dates control when the code can be entered, not the appointment date, and there is no weekday rule. On Black Friday your link already shows dates to mid-December, so the code can land on a busy December Saturday. Keep it on services with spare capacity and check coded requests before confirming.

Your team can also add the code to bookings they enter. Each booking gets one discount, the best that applies, so a VIP group discount never stacks with the code. More in VIP customer groups and discount codes.

Put party shades first in your catalog, and retire them in January

Pick six to ten shades to sell this season (deep reds, burgundy, gold, glitter, chrome) and mark them as featured. Featured shades appear first in your catalog in the CutieCure Book app, where clients see the photo and name, so use clear photos and plain names.

Clients connected through your salon QR can favorite shades and try them on a photo of their own hand with the AI try-on, within the AI uses per customer you set on the Customer QR page.

In early January, remove the featured mark and deactivate what you will not use in winter. Inactive shades are hidden from clients but kept for next year. More in the digital nail polish color chart guide.

Protect December from no-shows

A December no-show usually means you turned someone away for that slot. Split your clients in two:

  • Clients connected to your salon in the CutieCure Book app (for example via your salon QR code) get automatic push reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before, if notifications are on. Show the QR at checkout in November.
  • Everyone else needs a personal message the day before. There are no automatic WhatsApp reminders, so make it one person's afternoon task.

Mark no-shows instead of deleting them. There is no built-in waitlist, so keep your own list of regulars who can come at short notice. Policies and deposits: how to reduce no-shows.

After the rush: turn holiday first-timers into January regulars

December brings clients who have never been to you. Four habits keep them:

  • Complete every appointment, so visit count, total spent and last visit stay correct.
  • Offer the next appointment before they leave. Your team can book any date.
  • Group them. In early January, add December's new clients to a group such as "New December 2026" with a small January discount. Group discounts apply automatically to team-entered and Book app bookings; for link and website bookings, use a dated January code.
  • Ask for a review from each completed appointment via a link you copy or share on WhatsApp.

There is no automatic win-back or broadcast message, so the January follow-up is personal. Full routine: nail salon client retention.

A week-by-week plan for your nail salon holiday promotions

  1. 1October: review analytics and last December's diary, fix durations, decide holiday hours, enter early requests yourself.
  2. 2Week of 2 November: create holiday packages and start showing your QR at checkout.
  3. 3Week of 9 November: feature party shades. Your link reaches 1 December around 11 November: put it in your bio.
  4. 4Week of 16 November: create the Black Friday code (27 to 30 November, usage limit, selected services).
  5. 523 to 30 November: check coded requests daily before confirming.
  6. 61 to 13 December: confirm requests daily, send personal reminders, post open gaps in stories.
  7. 714 to 24 December: peak weeks. Decline requests for closed days, fill gaps from your short-notice list.
  8. 828 December to 3 January: run 31 December and 1 January by hand.
  9. 9Week of 4 January: retire shades, delete seasonal packages, group first-timers, send the January offer.

Frequently asked questions

When should a nail salon start planning holiday promotions?

In October, so packages, featured shades and the Black Friday code are ready by mid-November, when December dates appear on your booking link.

Can clients book December appointments online in October?

Not yet. The link shows 21 days ahead, the widget and the Book app 14. Enter early requests yourself; the calendar has no date limit.

Can a Black Friday code work only for November appointments?

No. Dates decide when a code can be used, not which day is booked. Restrict it to selected services, cap the uses and review coded requests.

How do I close on Christmas Day or New Year's Day?

Hours are set per weekday, with no one-off closure dates. Announce your holiday hours and decline online requests for closed days.
