How to ask nail clients for a review: message templates
The best way to ask for a review is to ask every client the same way, soon after the visit, with one direct link and nothing offered in return. Send a short message within a day of the appointment; the templates below cover a follow-up after asking in person, a Google review link, your own review link, a short version and one gentle reminder.
Updated
When to send it
- A few hours after the appointment or the next day, while she still remembers the details.
- To every client after a completed visit, not only the ones who looked happy.
- Right after you mention it in person at checkout, so the link is waiting on her phone.
- Once, with at most one gentle reminder a few days later.

After asking in person
Hi {name}, thanks again for coming in today! As I mentioned, a review helps a small salon like ours a lot. Here is the link, it only takes a minute: {review link}
Google review
Hi {name}, thank you for visiting {salon}! Would you share how your visit went on Google? An honest review helps other clients find us: {Google review link}
Your own review link
Hi {name}, thanks for your {service} today! Could you rate your visit from 1 to 5? It takes a few seconds, and a comment is welcome but optional: {review link}
Short
Thanks for today, {name}! How did we do? {review link}
Gentle reminder
Hi {name}, a quick reminder in case you missed my last message: if you have a minute, an honest review of your visit would mean a lot to us: {review link}. Thank you either way!
Regular client
Hi {name}, you've been coming to {salon} for a while now and we're so grateful. If you've never left a review, we'd love to hear what you think: {review link}
Tips for writing it
- Ask everyone the same way; do not send the link only to clients you expect to be happy.
- Never offer a discount, gift or anything else in exchange for a review, and do not ask for a particular star rating.
- Use one link that opens the review form directly, so she does not have to search for you.
- Reply to reviews, good and bad, briefly and politely; future clients read the replies too.
In CutieCure Salon
CutieCure Salon can send a review request on WhatsApp automatically, 1, 2, 3, 6 or 24 hours after an appointment you mark as Attended; it is off until you switch it on. You can also send the review link yourself from a completed appointment, on WhatsApp or by copying it. Clients rate 1 to 5 with an optional comment, and your average rating shows on your booking page.
Questions
Can I offer a discount for a Google review?
No. Google's policies do not allow incentives for reviews, and they do not allow asking only happy clients either. Ask every client the same way, with nothing in return.
When is the best time to ask for a review?
Within a day of the appointment, while the visit is fresh. A few hours after is a good default.
What if a client leaves a bad review?
Reply calmly and briefly, thank her for the feedback and offer to sort it out in a private message. Do not argue in public.
